Cheat Engine, simply known as CE, is a free & open source memory scanner/debugger/HEX editor that was built with the goal to help you changing games as you wish, like adding health points, enabling God mode, and so on... procedure usually known as cheating (Cheat Engine can create standalone game trainers that will work on computer that don't have it installed), but you can also use this program to debug "normal" Windows applicatiions, not only games. The Memory Scanner tool allows you to scan for variables that are being used in a game's executable and then change them, but Cheat Engine also comes with a bunch of additional tools very useful to those who want to get their hands dirty with binary code, such as disassembler, assembler, debugger, speedhack, the trainer maker we mentioned above, system inspection tools, Direct 3D manipulation tools, and it doesn't stop here!
